Vaginal prolapse
Hi
I have a vaginal prolapse which I have been able to control with pelvic floor excercise but it is causing problems now. What are my option?... I am aware of the vaginal pessary but cannot find any information regarding sexual activity etc.

Re: Vaginal prolapse
I’m the same ; was told by Gp I had one. Seen by gynae regarding a hysterectomy which I will have eventually and told he will repair whilst I’m under if needed but in the meantime what do I do? I’ve got mild incontinence which I suspect is connected but I’ve been left like this for nearly 2 years now. Can I do pelvic floor exercises and if so what do I do. I’m fed up wearing pads I can’t afford and knickers that are waterproof are either very expensive or look awful

Re: Vaginal prolapse
Vaginal prolapse is the general term used for any prolapse. Management actually depends on which part of the vaginal wall or uterus has prolapsed. Vaginal pessaries are just one type of management. It is probably best to see your GP who can refer you to a specialist gynaecologist who can examine you and advise on the best treatment option for you.

So can we suggest you go back to your GP and ask for referral to gynaecology to see what sort of intervention would suit you best>
