Online clinic on dementia 2012
From 18 - 24 July 2012 NHS Choices and talkhealth teamed up to present an Online Clinic on Dementia supported by Dementia UK and Alzheimer's Society. The clinic is now only open for viewing.
Clinical experts answered questions about issues surrounding dementia such as diagnosis, care concerns and treatment and you can read the questions and answers in this clinic by clicking the blue ‘Go to this Online Clinic’ button above.

Dementia UK
Dementia UK is a national charity, committed to improving quality of life for all people affected by dementia. They became a registered charity in 1994 to promote the development of Admiral Nursing.
Dementia UK's areas of work include supporting and developing Admiral Nurses, specialist mental health nurses who provide practical and emotional support to family carers and people with dementia. The charity also runs the Admiral Nursing DIRECT helpline, run by experienced Admiral Nurses, Dementia UK Training provides specialist dementia care training to health and social care professionals and Uniting Carers is an involvement network for people affected by dementia.
Alzheimer's Society
Alzheimer's Society is the UK 's leading support and research charity for people with dementia, their families and carers. We provide information and support to people with any form of dementia and their carers through our publications, National Dementia Helpline, website, and more than 2,000 local services. We campaign for better quality of life for people with dementia and greater understanding of dementia. We also fund an innovative programme of medical and social research into the cause, cure and prevention of dementia and the care people receive.
