Rosalind Simpson
Rosalind is a consultant dermatologist at Nottingham University Hospitals and Associate Professor at the Centre of Evidence Based Dermatology. She is a general dermatologist with specific clinical and academic interests in women’s health and vulval dermatology.
She is funded by an NIHR Advanced Fellowship. In 2018, Rosalind lead the Lichen Sclerosus Priority Setting Partnership to completion. She is now leading a programme of work in lichen sclerosus including: CORALS (Core Outcomes for Research in Lichen Sclerosus), SHELLS (developing diagnostic criteria for lichen sclerosus) and PEARLS (a randomised controlled trial comparing reactive against proactive therapy for the treatment of lichen sclerosus).
Rosalind is Fellow of the International Society for the Study of Vulvovaginal Disease, Research Lead for the British Society for the Study of Vulval Disease, Associate Section Editor for the British Journal of Dermatology, co-editor for Rook's Dermatology Handbook and Rook's Textbook of Dermatology (10th Edition).
