Lee Murphy
Lee Murphy is a Consultant Podiatric Surgeon at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Being a podiatrist and podiatric surgeon, he is able to offer the full package of care to patients with foot problems. He uses an open and honest approach with all of his patients, taking time to discuss the history and nature of the presenting complaint before considering the myriad of advanced diagnostic investigations to arrive at an accurate diagnosis. Mr Murphy attempts to resolve pathology of the foot in conservative or non-surgical ways where possible and takes time to discuss all options with his patients so that they can make an informed choice about their foot health care.
His time spent in podiatry and research of the foot and ankle has included running advanced musculoskeletal practitioner clinics, being a part of an international multi-disciplinary foot and ankle research team, conducting research into the biomechanics of the foot and ankle and offering conservative treatment of patients with foot pathology. He completed his podiatric surgery training and registrar positions across the UK with further training in the USA. Mr Murphy runs podiatric surgery clinics and theatre lists across the north west of England in NHS and private practice. He is a registered podiatric surgery tutor and lectures nationally and internationally on surgery of the foot and associated structures. His passion lies in seeing and treating patients with foot problems.
