Kevin Donaghy

Author and campaigner

Kevin Donaghy is a writer, husband, father, and cancer-awareness campaigner. He was diagnosed with stage IV metastatic melanoma in December 2019, which is life-limiting and incurable. Through his own cancer journey during the COVID-19 pandemic, he discovered the power of telling his story and listening to other people's cancer stories, which led to the creation of his first book, Stories of Cancer and Hope.

Kevin is passionate about helping people who are directly and indirectly affected by cancer to not feel alone, and he has donated over 7,000 copies of the book to 90 UK and Irish cancer charities and treatment centres. He lives in the Scottish Borders with his wife Sophie, and splits his time between his IT business consultancy, hill walking, travelling and making the most of time and life.
