Dr Desai has 20+ years experience in the field of paediatrics. He graduated in Goa, India in 1990 with a gold medal as a best graduate and completeda clinical and research postgraduate degree (MD) in the field of paediatrics in 1996 at Goa University.

Subsequently after relocating to the UK in 1999 he trained in paediatric cardiology in Leicester for over three years, where he started working as a consultant in 2006.

Member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, the British Congenital Cardiac Association and the British Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology.

Paediatric cardiology is the main field Dr Desai works in. He also has aspecial interest in general paediatrics, paediatric allergy asthma and neurology.

Dr Desai is based at Ipswich Hospital NHS trust and has private practice at Nuffield Ipswich and Oaks hospital, Colchester.
