Dr Johanna Herrod qualified with Distinction in Medicine at Cambridge University in 1989.

She has a strong academic background with a PhD in Chemistry from Cambridge University and experience in research psychiatry.

Dr Johanna Herrod completed Psychiatry training in Cambridge specialising in Liaison and Neuropsychiatry.

She has been a Consultant since 2000 and works in the NHS as Specialty Lead Consultant in Neuropsychiatry at The Burden Unit, Frenchay Hospital, Bristol.

The Burden Unit for Neuropsychiatry is a specialist centre for Complex Epilepsy, Movement Disorders, Sleep Disorders and Medically Unexplained Symptoms including Pain Disorders.
